Once again players must travel to scenic locales across the globe to track down and shoot specific animals. Big Game Hunter includes 24 trophy animals, from lions and bears to rams and cougars, lurking within Africa, Montana, New Zealand, and other destinations. Authentic weapons and equipment, such as crossbows, rifles, and signal callers, are unlocked as hunters progress through the main campaign. A point system taking into account shot distance, an animal's size, and other variables is designed to encourage repeat hunting trips. There is no way to make everyone who plays these type of games happy. Some think they're too long, not realistic enough, not enough action, limited in the kind of animals you can hunt, etc. With that said I believe the makers of this game took that all into account and made a game that would fit what most people would want and give everyone a lot of what they like. The overall detail of graphics is very good, which is an area that many hunting games struggle with (the mule deer really look like mule deer). It also has a variety of tools, rifles, bows, etc to use. It does lack in the area of have true control of what you are going to in the game with it's scenarios and the first time I heard a moose bugle like an elk on the game I had to laugh. The other thing is the behavior of the animals if they are spooked. But compared to many of the other hunting games out there it is very good and worth the price paid for the entertainment you will get out of it. My husband loved playing, and he is the most anti-video-game person I know. While I found it somewhat of a challenge, my husband was able to complete the whole career hunt within 2 weeks. However, he found it fun enough to start another profile and do the whole thing again, this time with hopefully better scores. You do need to have both the Wiimote and the nunchuk to play this game, but you don't need a special gun controller or anything.http://www.rachelledelcroix.nl/upload/breadman-bread-maker-user-manual.xml
The only things we did not like were sometimes you are given a hunt for some exotic animal we'd never heard of and did not know what it looked like. There was a way to find profiles of the animals, but it was hard to find at first. When you are in the middle of a hunt, you don't want to stop to find the profile. All in all, it's a pretty fun game that can be played at almost any age level. All in all, it was a fun and at times challenging game with only a few less than impressive moments. An avid gamer might not like this game, but a beginner or someone who just wants to have a little fun would probably enjoy this game very much. The graphics were excellent. It has a little something for hunters from no experience to a skilled marksman. I wish the storing options were a little easier for the game. My 9 year old has played it and been disappointed that he was unable to save the game. The instructions could be made a little more kid friendly. I would definatly recomend this game to anyone who loves hunting and the outdoors. Perfect for hunting when it's too cold, hot or raining for the real thing. Try it I'm sure that you will not be disappointed!! It's awesome! It's not the most challenging game, I'll admit, but great for coming home and relaxing to. Works great with Wii zapper, and Nykon perfect shot, in my experience. I read that it's multiplayer.I also don't understand where to find a lot of the animals. I wish there was an FAQ of this game, but can't find one. The boss fights (bear, cougar, wild boar, lion) are pretty fun, but very repetitive. Overall, I'd say a good game. But the multiplayer option and location of all the animals is still a mystery. The pros:Great graphics, Good satisfying feeling hearing the gun crack and taking down game, Mini games throughout the hunts, Wild animal attacks.http://aktarahmet.com/upload/breadman-bread-maker-manuals.xml
The cons: Limited to where you can go, Animals seem to run the same patterns all the time, If you're in the path of travel of an animal they will stop in front of you making it too easy, Half of the big game animals are way too easy to find and kill, The only differance between the Experianced level and the Expert levels is the Expert level doesn't give you a map and doesn't allow any shooting errors such as shooting the wrong game or your game is over. As with any game there is some glitches,I once walked my guy up a bank and he became stuck and I couldn't get him to move and had to restart the game. I didn't like how the hunter tells you when you're using too big of caliber gun, for instance, when trying to kill off an attacking animal it takes many shots before it finally dies so I tried using a.338 cal. and the hunter will repeat over and over that the caliber is to big. But using the right caliber helps your score and I don't think anybody pays much attention to that, its just fun to hunt and shoot. All in all it's a fun game. It probably took me less than 10 hours to beet it.(and i'm not exactly the pro gamer). Our payment security system encrypts your information during transmission. Send 4.0 out of 5 stars It is our first experience with a Wii, so it took us a while just to learn the wii, but by the second day we were getting to be pro's. My husband isn't into video games but loves this one. It is a little difficult to learn all of the features on it, but is also easy enough to learn as you go. The grafics are very good in my opinion, but I've not seen many games. It is super exciting especially after you get attacked by the bear for the first time, you are always on edge after that for the next attack by a big game animal. If you like hunting this is the perfect game, watch it's price it seems to extremely fluxuate. My kids are 9 and under and enjoy playing this, they aren't the greatest but they can still play and enjoy it. As a side note the zapper is awesome and the game that comes with it (Lynx?) is a little more violent than I would like but has some great target training games on it to get used to the zapper. We both found it rather difficult and they don't give you much direction. Over time we started figuring things out, but I really wish they could have some more direction on there or some kind of 'practice round'.sometimes character refuses to follow certain commands like reloading the gun or won't run in the direction you point.
The scenery is really nice, you do get the sense you're out in the wilderness and that part was really nice. I don't know how often I'd play this. The downside is that i beat it in about a week by only playing it about 2 hours a day. Another bad thing is that you cant just go around shooting random animals, it tells you what to shoot and do. That makes it more callenging but very boring at times. Somtimes some of the more aggresive animals will just come up and attack you and you wouldnt even know that they were there. The controls are very easy to use and understand. Overall thisgame is a challenging game but takes (little time) to beat. There are others that he's played that he like better as he can move from hunting zone to zone better. This one seems to jam sometimes and won't let him take any shots. Cute for a starter hunting game.He loves it. It's entertaining and keeps them busy, busy, busy. They like the many levels and the realism. JaZeel's review is the main reason for the purchase. No complaints. Not sure if the it's the game or if minecraft took 1st placeTo our disapointment this was not true. Yes it did have a head to head option but was nothing like we expected and the actual game was a but complicated in regards to the controls. The player is basically walking around a big area looking for game to hunt so you have to walk around for a long time which made the kids and myself loose interest in it right away which is why i gave it only 2 stars. I would not recomend this game unless you are someone who likes to walk around in games exploring worlds.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Knight 4.0 out of 5 stars When I was a kid I remember how fun Deer Hunter was and Big Game Hunter but they lost track along time ago of what a true hunting game was with Cabela's Dangerous Hunts. I heard this game was different and it looked it but I still expected it to be typical old crappy arcade hunting. Well after playing this for 25 minutes my fears are going away that a perfect hunting game could be on the way. The area to walk around is just HUGE. It's also nice to be able to actually hunt in a game again without having rabbits attack you. The controls are also almost spot on. When aiming I think it could use a little tweaking and a few bugs like walking up on a coyote that just starred at the bush as I went up and was able to pet it. Also the graphics are pretty good for a low budget game. And of course, each area has 2 boss large game animals - which hunts, ironically, are a little too easy. Lots of fun - buy it!It gives you a lot of information about hunting different species, and it also provides a lot of data about the animals, the weapons and even the legal side of hunting. Very good to spend time, only complain i feel it was too short.Son got to last level and game completely shut down, could not play past this level, game would shut off every time and this point.
Amazon sent us a new one and the game played perfectly fine and son was able to finish game.It was a great value and gives hours of gameplay. If you are looking for a fast paced game, this is not it. You hunt 4 regions with unique animals and terrain. Each of the regions is pretty large, though not excessively huge. Each region you have the ability to do specific hunts where you target specific animals, sizes, gun types, etc. You can also free hunt where you get time to just shoot whatever you want. Both of these build your money and experience to unlock other areas. Eventually, you unlock the two Pro Hunts in each region. These are shorter missions to test stuff you learned in that region. Once you beat both regional Pro Hunts, you unlock the next region. There is a lot of replay. Beating the missions is necessary to earn money to unlock better equipment. However, you can beat the game (all Pro Hunts) without beating all the missions. It is up to each person to do as they wish. Overall, presentation was great, not cutting edge though. Each region is pretty large and there is a lot of game depth. I marked down on stars for 2 problems I ran into. The most common was lag when using binoculars and rifle scopes. The game would just lag and you couldn't move your weapon quick enough to keep up with a slow moving animal. A couple of times the game completely froze, requiring a hard reset of the WiiU. It might have froze more, but I often saved once I started noticing the lag. I'm not sure if this is a WiiU or game problem. After only about 1.5 hours of gameplay, you shouldn't have a system start lagging. The lagging got annoying, but you could get around it and usually I could finish a hunt (and save) before I lost all progress. Overall, a great game with hours of entertainment. While it is not 100% true to life, it is close enough that it scratches that 'itch', The game is definitely a slow going experience, but so is hunting.
There are parts of the game I would change sure.If you want a FPS game where you must stealthily stalk your prey before taking a precision shot.THIS IS YOUR GAME! Honestly I have every expectation on purchasing the game in the series. All I want is more guns and more animals to hunt! The environment is free roam, as opposed to many previous games that have a set path to follow. There are plenty of extra items to unlock and improve your capabilities. 5 stars for this one!Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1 In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading. Activision Platform(s) It released on November 6, 2007.The gameplay relies on hunting tags for each animal in the game. After shooting the one the players has a tag for, the adrenaline meter goes up.There are 12 story levels, with Order of Orion via radio, placed in territories across the world like mountains of Canada, New Zealand, the deserts of Argentina, and others. The goal is to find and hunt various animals (with Wilde's hunting senses), as a requirement to be accepted in the club. Falling off ledges or logs, or stepping on noisy terrain could cause failure in the hunt.Retrieved March 12, 2019. By using this site, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The game features a big variety of environments available including lush forests, dry deserts, craggy mountains, flooded plains, scorching savannas and the freezing tundra. Each region features a variety of animals each specific to the environments in which can be hunted throughout the game. But other new things are implemented in this game to work against the player, such as animals now having some of the most improved and most realistic AI in any game, meaning they could easily see, smell, or hear you if you make a wrong move. Getting to your target is now more challenging with the implementation of stealth hunts and timed hunts. Stealth hunts are when the males are not within reach and the player must use stealth and cover (usually thick bushes, logs, and rock formations) to avoid females, noisy terrain, and other animals like birds. The player is also given a device called a UTD that measures your presence to the animals. A low-pitched beep means that the animals are calm and can't detect you, medium-pitched beeps indicate that animals are starting to detect your presence, and high-pitched beeps tell the player that animals have clearly spotted the player and they are about to run away. A timed hunt is activated either when you reach your target, a predator or another force that could disturb the animals appears and the player must kill the target in a certain amount of time; or when the animals appear as a large herd and the player must kill a certain number of males before time runs out. Many birds and small mammals roam around for the player to shoot at their leisure. Sometimes the player can reach a hidden area, where they have an opportunity to photograph rare animals and natural behaviors. There's also a gun store where players can buy, customize, and upgrade their weapons.Players can place trees, foliage, water, terrain formations, and animals found in the game or create custom animals, which they can hunt with friends with online connectivity.
Players can set challenges to compete in hunting the rarest animals and like Campaign mode, players can also buy and customize their weapons for each type of situation (a typical weapon is usually a variation of a scoped bolt-action hunting rifle). There are multiple shooting galleries like arcade, where you can kill as many animals as want, target, which you can use to practice your marksmanship by shooting wood cutouts of animal targets, or reflex which tests your hunting skills by instructing the player to kill certain animals in a chronological order. The game was released packaged with the Top Shot Elite, a plastic peripheral for the Wii controller. The player starts in Montana, Sharp's homeland, where he hunts red deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn, and hunt an elk before wolves scare it away. The next day a wounded mountain lion terrorizes the area, and Sharp must kill it. The player heads to Mexico, where he hunts whitetail, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, and mule deer. After taking shelter in an arroyo during a sandstorm, Sharp finds boot tracks, confident that someone trespassed into his zone. Just as he's approaching a bison herd, a rifle fires and misses, scaring them off. It's revealed Matisse fired, trying to make Sharp miss his chance. The two argue, but Hathcock shames them. The radio gets a distress call from Freidkin, with Hathcock telling Sharp to check it out. Sharp finds that Freidkin's stand was knocked over by a startled bison, making him fall 70 feet down into a gorge. Sharp must then defend him from meat-craving boars until medical assistance arrives. Freidkin is taken to a hospital, where his left leg is amputated, making him drop out. The player goes to Namibia, where he hunts blackbuck, impala, zebra, wildebeest, greater kudu, White rhino and Cape buffalo. Sharp comes across lion tracks, confirming that a hunting pride is scouring the area. Sharp hears as Cassidy alerts everyone that he and his kill are surrounded by lions.
As Cassidy starts to panic, Sharp instructs him to abandon his trophy and jump into a nearby ravine. There are several roars and a scream as several birds are flushed from the trees. Sharp runs to the site, finding nothing but Cassidy's rifle and pack with smears of blood. Sharp sees the male lion in the distance, and must dispatch the lionesses. He's then ambushed by the lion, and as he's about to kill Sharp a shot fires, and the lion pauses and falls to his side. Sharp sits up and sees Matisse, revealing he shot the lion for himself, saving his life. Authorities scour the area, but Cassidy's body is never found.Meanwhile, a man-eating grizzly bear named Bloody Ben has been terrorizing the island for the last decade, and poses a huge threat to the hunters, spectators, and game animals in the area. The player hunts red deer, Sitka deer, elk, Dall sheep, caribou, and moose. In the midst of the blizzard, Sharp finally finds Ben's tracks, and just as he's about to shoot, a man jumps in front of his scope, revealed to be Matisse. He aggravates the bear by shooting twice, but is mauled. Sharp runs to Matisse, badly injured and passed out. Sharp is then startled by the bear, and jumps to the ground for his rifle as Bloody Ben closes in for the kill. Sharp kills Ben after shooting him 6 times in his vitals. Matisse wakes up, only to see Sharp looking at him with a confident smirk and Bloody Ben dead behind him. Matisse admits defeat to Sharp and apologizes for everything he's done. Sharp then sells Ben's skin to the Order, and he uses the money to go to Hawaii the next summer. The game ends.By using this site, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
